These are two videos I had forgotten to post, and that makes the last article of this website and adventure.
In the first one, I have compiled the shots from cycling inside the cities of Fès, Nouadhibou, Nouakchott, Saint-Louis, Dakar, Banjul, Bissau, Freetown, Monrovia, Kumasi, Accra, Abeokuta, Ibadan, Pointe-Noire, Lubango, Windhoek, and Cape Town. I think it’s the most dangerous part of the trip: traffic. It’s a bit stressing so I had to add some Flavour to it.
I had to look everywhere at the same time, and I slowly got more confident in navigating into such a huge peaceful chaos (but still constantly looking 360° around me). By the time I got to Nigeria, I was placing myself within the okadas (moto-taxis) at traffic lights and was the quickest out of the blocks. Despite that, I didn’t feel like testing the traffic in Lagos – at all. I found Southern Africa much more disciplined, and cycling in Cape Town was comparable to cycling in Europe.
The videos in this movie were shot when I felt confident enough to cycle with one hand, and the other one holding a P&S camera.
The second video is just a compilation of the insects and bigger animals on my way.
Hey all! Great opportunity to invest in LLP Token. Do your research and let’s make the most of it!
Dear you,
I am impressed – and I must tell you that its not easy to impress me.
I crossed No Men’s Land (the border between Mauritania and Morocco) for the first time in 2012, with a big old bus that was my house during four months – since Denmark to Guinea Bissau. Right now, I am in Nouakchott (with another big and old bus) and I will cross it again, in few days. Even though is the fourth time I will cross No Men’s land, this time – for no apparent reason – I am a bit more worried so I decided to make some research on the topic. And that is how I found you, and got hooked on your travel.
Just want to say, well done. I still did not find out what your main travel purpose was, but it looks like a quite impressive experience.
If you have some spare time, feel free to come and visit our school in Denmark – I am a teacher of young adults, and our main goal is to Learn to Travel and Travel to Learn. Every year, a group of students do the same travel with a big bus, from Denmark to Guinea Bissau. Maybe you could come to our school and give a course about your experiences travelling in Africa. We could also share ours.
Good energies and keep moving,
Marina
Thanks for your message Marina,
I’ll remember for next time I pass by CPH. It’s a good endeavor you have there!
Greetings from Cape Town,
