24000 KM !

And 24000 KM in the Swakop valley on the way to Windhoek. I woke up today in my tent in what is called “moon landscape”. Luckily I didn’t get a visit from the hyenas, they are all around.

In the beautiful Damaraland, I’ve seen some very remote Namibia, close to the Skeleton coast, and despite relatively good gravel roads it’s quite tough to cycle: strong headwinds, strong sun, cold nights, no people, no water points for too long, 2 or 3 cars a day, and when I find some water it tastes salty. Swakopmund was an artificial oasis in the desert to refill on meat instead of homemade spaghettis.
